Welcome to the John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing. For more than 3 decades, Rev. John Harvey Gray has been totally dedicated to empowering people to discover and celebrate their natural healing powers through learning Reiki. He is one of the original 22 Reiki Master Teachers trained by Hawayo Takata, the Japanese-American woman who brought Reiki to the West and is considered to be the longest-practicing Reiki teacher in the United States having taught over 900 Reiki classes and trained more than 15,000 Reiki students.

Over time, John Harvey Gray has become a recognized and acknowledged leader in the field of Reiki and energy healing. Along with his wife, Dr. Lourdes Gray, John has co-authored their Reiki book Hand To Hand and also produced several audio recordings including Takata Speaks: Volume I and a combination CD containing a Chakra Meditation as well as a lecture conducted in front of a live class by John, on his ground breaking theory of Emotionality in the Chakras.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and a former researcher for Stanford Research Institute, John’s devotion to Reiki healing had its seeds when he served in the Pacific theater during WWII, experienced the horrors of war firsthand, and had a remarkable spiritual awakening when he nearly missed death at the Battle of Leyte: “I became convinced that there were energies forces and types of communication that existed that had not yet been explored by Western science and I vowed to devote my life to peaceful means.”
