Reiki for MS

Question: “I’m visiting my friend with MS (multiple sclerosis). Can I just Reiki her knees and feet?”

Answer: You can, but remember, for better results you need to perform complete Reiki treatments. Takata taught us that any time a condition becomes chronic, the entire body then becomes involved in the healing process. Therefore, it is important to treat the entire body. The body, during this time of healing, needs all of the energy that Reiki can provide. Reiki supports the natural healing ability of the body. Takata said, “Reiki is a system, and must be used as a system. Any time a condition is there three weeks or longer you must treat the full body, and not just the area(s) where the symptom(s) are located. Treating exclusively those areas where the symptoms are located (treating knees and feet) is not enough.” John Harvey Gray had very good success treating ms with Reiki. He would include the following optional positions, in additional to giving full Reiki treatments:

1.) Use the Reiki “head set” optional position (place your hands over the top of the client’s head so that your fingers run from ear to ear. The heels of your hands should touch.) In this position, you are treating the motor muscle neurons that create communication between the brain and the muscles. This position is also very good for stroke as well as for anytime when the brain and muscles are not communicating properly.

2.) Create optional positions running down the spine (remember to keep your hands as light as nickel or keep your hands slightly above the body. Never apply pressure or weight when delivering Reiki.) Also, treat the entire length of the legs.
